The City of Mission Viejo is hosting a community contest, seeking the public’s help in renaming its golf course.
The City recently purchased the Casta del Sol Golf Course, and since the course is not associated with the neighboring Casta del Sol community, the City wants to rename it with the public’s help.
Folks 18 and older are encouraged to come up with a name that fits the golf course – considering the course’s location, amenities, typography and other attributes of our community.
To enter the contest, the name and form information must be submitted electronically on our Contest Submission Page by 5 pm on June 30.
A review committee will evaluate each submission and select twenty names. The Community Services Commission will choose five finalists and the City Council will then decide the final golf course name and award a grand prize. The grand prize winner will receive a golf or food/beverage package valued at $300, and the four finalists will receive a $50 gift card for use at the golf club or restaurant.
